Alpha Child Care Philosophy

At Alpha, we believe that self-esteem and social skills are the most important aspects of a child’s development. These attributes lay the foundation for learning with confidence. Every child develops in a unique way and it is our job, as caregivers, to respect their individuality.

A child with good self-esteem will seek to learn, will love to try new activities, and will feel comfortable handling the social situations that come with learning through play. In order for children to learn at their maximum potential, their environment must give them a sense of comfort and security. Alpha strives to maintain a family atmosphere at all times in order to put children at ease while in our care. Children will receive lots of hugs and attention if they are feeling lonely or upset.

At Alpha, we understand the pressures of being a parent, and we do our best to assist parents with their busy lives. Alpha parents are encouraged to meet with any of our staff in order to develop strategies to help with issues at home.

Alpha Child Care History

Alpha Child Care Ltd. is devoted to providing the best possible licensed child care services to Brampton families. For over 30 years we have provided superior quality child care services, and industry leading learning programs through play, in a nurturing and caring environment.

What sets Alpha apart from other child care centres is its family atmosphere and commitment to the ongoing training of our long-term staff. Parents who visit Alpha for the first time often comment on how the centre feels comfortable and safe.

This website is designed to give parents an overview of our philosophy and programs so that they can decide if Alpha is the place for their child. Ultimately, we recommend that parents visit with the caregiver they are considering and ask detailed questions. Potential customers are encouraged to make an appointment to tour our centres and spend some time in the playrooms. We are confident that our fun family atmosphere, and friendly knowledgeable staff, will set your hearts at ease with the knowledge that Alpha Child Care is the place your child can call “home”.

Alpha Child Care Ltd. was created as a family owned and operated business by the late Catherine Humphreys and is now run by her son, Greg Humphreys as President and CEO. Alpha’s Manager of Operations and Development is Mary Soundy.

We are very proud of our loyal employees, their dedication, and their continuous commitment to the company, to our families and to the children. At Alpha Child Care we recognize the importance of keeping the staff motivated, excited and committed to the children and their families.

Alpha Child Care Ltd. has a very high staff retention rate which provides families and children with consistent quality care. Alpha staff are encouraged to participate in outside training and seminars though most of our training is conducted in-house.

Families marvel at the fun activities we plan for the staff (as well as the children), and the warm friendly atmosphere staff help create.
